Victorian Pleated Apron Skirt
Linen & Organic Cotton Kelsch

FABRIC

Historical Reproduction of a classic Kelsch fabric, traditional of the Alsace region, known for its bold plaid patterns. It is soft and crisp at the same time thanks to the balance and high quality of its organic cotton and linen fibers. This fabric is woven for the brand in France, using late 19th century industrial looms, reproducing the historic feel and durability known to be characteristic of French vintage workwear garments.

FIT AND CONSTRUCTION

The pleated skirt is based on extensive historical research to create a practical yet elegant design. Featuring a corseted front closure with hidden pockets, it is easy to fit on different sizes and body shapes. The front is tied in the back using an apron style belt system, visually hiding the side slit, corset and pockets. Double box pleats are used to create ease of movement and volume in the back of the skirt.

TREATMENT

This mid weight Kelsch fabric is hand washed giving it its unique hand and texture.
