FABRIC

Sleeveless Asymmetrical shirt made in French « Métis » fabric (mix of cotton and linen) giving it a hand that only compares to original 19th century French fabrics it is based on. It is soft and crisp at the same time thanks to the balance and high quality of its cotton and linen fibers. This fabric is woven for the brand in France, using late 19th century industrial looms, reproducing the historic feel and durability known to be characteristic of French vintage workwear garments.

FIT AND CONSTRUCTION

The shirt style is cut with a straight body fit, center back pleat with silk embroidery, back shoulder shaping darts and asymmetrical front closure, taking inspiration from french vintage under garments. It is fully sewn using single needle Flat felled seams, giving it strength as well as clean finishing.

TREATMENT

Oxidized Natural dye using Avocado, this hand dye process takes up to 6 hours and creates this unique color and patina. Avocado is a strong and lasting natural dye, giving a beautiful grey / silver color once oxidized, with subtle changes in tone on the fabric weave.

Handsewn pearl color silk buttonholes, center back hand embroidery, octogone real mother-of-pearl buttons.
